Sunday's Psalm--31st Sunday of Ordinary time

In you, Lord, I have found my peace.

O LORD, my heart is not proud,

nor are my eyes haughty;

I busy not myself with great things,

nor with things too sublime for me.

In you, Lord,
I have found my peace.

Nay rather, I have stilled and quieted
my soul like a weaned child.

Like a weaned child on its mother's lap,
so is my soul within me.

In you, Lord,
I have found my peace.

O Israel,

hope in the LORD,

both now and forever.

In you, Lord,
I have found my peace.

from Psalm 131

Very beautiful especially now! As long as I live there was never peace, but now we should all pray for wisdom and respect all over the world.
Your post comforts me.

This is one of my favorite psalms...I sometimes recite it to myself in order to "still my soul." Thank you for sharing it; I really like this translation and have not seen it before.
